It all begins with an idea.

My journey into UX began while I was in publishing, where, as a managing designer, I led creative teams to transform educational content into engaging, accessible experiences for teachers and students.

My career so far…

I began my career as a graphic designer in 2002, working for a publishing company in Athens, Greece. During this time, I gained experience both as an in-house designer and as a freelancer, collaborating with renowned companies such as Cengage Learning/National Geographic Learning, Macmillan Hellas, and Longman-Pearson.

In 2011, I relocated to the UK as an experienced graphic designer and worked as a Managing Designer for Pearson Education/Edexcel and later for Macmillan Education (SpringerNature). In these roles, I led the design of global educational projects, ensuring materials were not only visually impactful but also easy to navigate and engaging for diverse audiences.

Why UX?

As I observed the transformative impact of well-designed educational materials on learning, I felt inspired to do more. My transition to UX was not simply a career change but a natural progression—aligning my skills and passion to create solutions that resonate with users. For me, UX is about making products that are accessible, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

In May 2024, I earned my Master’s in UX Design with Distinction from Falmouth University, gaining valuable practical experience through freelance UX design projects and a contract role as a UX Designer. These opportunities helped me apply my skills in real-world contexts and strengthened my commitment to delivering meaningful, user-centred experiences.

I am currently based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, where I live with my young family and I am eager to embark on my next professional adventure, contributing my expertise to innovative and impactful projects.
